What CanITrustThis does
CanITrustThis helps people assess online shops, offers, messages and possible AI-generated content. Automated reports organise available evidence. They are not official findings, delivery guarantees or assurances of authenticity.
Guides and automated reports
These are produced differently and should be trusted differently. Guides are published explanations with sources: AI may assist with drafting, but every guide is reviewed and signed off by a named editor before publication, and that person is identified on the about page. Individual scan reports are generated automatically and are not personally reviewed investigations. We do not claim professional certification or representative detector accuracy.
Sources and examples
Guides link to original sources where available. These references support the topics discussed; they do not imply that those organisations endorse our product. Fictional examples are labelled. On a guide, the update date records a content change that the named editor has reviewed; on an automated report it records a re-scan and involves no human review.
Uncertainty and limitations
Missing information is not evidence of fraud. A register entry does not automatically authenticate a website. AI indicators do not prove authorship. Check failed or skipped stages and compare important claims with original sources.
How the service is funded
We offer paid website checks (CHF 1.00) and buyer reports (CHF 4.90), no subscriptions. A purchase does not guarantee a favourable assessment or acceptance of a report by a third party. AdSense ads are not served while approval is pending. Promotions for our own services may still appear.
Corrections
Send errors to hello@canitrustthis.app with the page URL, the affected statement and a verifiable source. Do not include passwords, complete card numbers or unnecessary personal information. For urgent payment issues, contact your payment provider directly.
